How do I use Med-Extranet ?
Scroll down the list of categories (subjects and conditions) from the list to your left, click on the required link to see the available content. use the "SEARCH" feature to look for the required information.
How do I recognise different file types:
Med-Extranet stores in 3 types of file:
(1) Video files - File extensions are typically MP4 / AVI / MPG & WMV.
(2) Image files - File extensions are typically JPG or Jpeg.
(3) Editable files - PowerPoint (PPT/PPTX) or PDF which require downloading and editing before saving as Jpeg before use.
What now ?
When you have chosen the required file, click on the "DOWNLOAD" button to either view or save the file to your local storage resource.
Different browsers will give a range of experiences, the following guide is based on using Mozilla Firefox.
Select the "Category" Advice for Patients.
You will see a list of files (videos or images) available to download.
To view further information or a description, position your mouse over the file name and use the left click.
To download the file to your desktop follow these steps;
(a) Click on the "DOWNLOAD" button to the right of the file name.
(b) The IMAGE or VIDEO will show on your desktop, decide if you want to save it.
(c) From your web browser "FILE" button, select "Save Page As" or "Ctrl + S" and follow your PC instructions.
(d) Once saved to your local resource, use the browsers back button to select a different file or category.
(e) See your product information on how to upload and display files on your waiting room screens.
Once finished click on the "X" or log-out button to exit.
